How do you find out all this technical stuff? I want to copy and paste this and send it to my Son in the U.K. Do I have permission to do this please as I am in the U.S at the moment.

It is very simple, you can connect your Video iPod directly to a TV with the ordinary camcorder A/V-to-RCA cable that you probably already have lying around your house. Here is their official FAQ link:
